NOEL E. PRICE

Noel E. Price, Fort Madison, died at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 1983 in the Klein Unit, Burlington Medical Center. He had been ill for three years, serious the past six years.

Mr. Price was born January 29, 1921, at Milton, and had been a resident of Fort Madison for 38 years. He had been an auto body repair man for many years and was a head operator at Chevron Chemical Co. for more than 20 years. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Claypoole Lodge No. 13 AF & AM. He was of the Protestant faith.

On January 27, 1945, in Fort Madison, he married Margaret Stump, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Herbert of Burlington; his mother, Mrs. Sadie Evans Price of Fairfield; a brother, Kenneth of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; a sister, Mrs. Madolyn Stansbery of Burlington; and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Price.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 9 at the Barr Memorial Chapel with the Rev. L. Duane Churchman officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

A memorial was established with the Hospice program at Burlington Medical Center. Contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
