CLYDE EMERSON PRUNTY

Funeral services for Clyde E. Prunty were held in Walnut Grove, Missouri on June 6, 1983 with burial in the National Cemetery in Springfield with full military honors.

Mr. Prunty, 77, died June 3 in Springfield. He was born October 23, 1905 in Farmington. He was retired from the United States Navy in 1945 as a Chief Pharmacist. He married Geraldine Geibe Mankel in Chicago on October 13, 1945. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1951, moving to Walnut Grove in 1972. He was a member of the Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Kathleen Prunty White and her husband Danny of Springfield; one step-son, Karl Mankel of Utah; one step-daughter, Marilyn Gola of California; five step-grandchildren; one sister, Esther Prunty, Colorado Springs, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Elias Prunty of Cleghorn, Iowa and four brothers, Lawrence, Frank, George and Maurice.
