BRYAN COLEMAN

Bryan Coleman, 85, Hillsboro Route 1, died at 6:05 a.m. Sunday, May 15, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

He was born November 20, 1897 at Mt. Pleasant to Theodore and Sarah Gieger Coleman. He married Bertha Woodruff, February 8, 1922 at Mt. Pleasant.

He was a retired farmer.

Surviving: His wife; two sons, Chester, New London and John, Danville; four daughters, Mrs. Russell (Reba) Judd, Wasco, California, Mrs. Francis (Iris) Barton, Brownsburg, Indiana, Mrs. Donald (Wanda) McDowell, Wever and Mrs. Leland (Ruth) Johnson, Hillsboro; two brothers, Theodore, Mt. Pleasant, and Steve, Sterling; a sister, Mrs. Marie Orndorff, Mechanicsville; 36 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandcildren; eight stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 17, 1983 at Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, Rev. Lester Smith officiating. Burial was in Forest Home Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
