GERALD JONES

Gerald Jones, 57, of Las Vegas, Nevada died early Saturday, morning, May 28, at Veterans Hospital in La Jolla, California, following a brief illness.

He was born September 15, 1925 in Lee County, the son of Paul and Mae Stevenson Jones.

A veteran of World War II, he retired from farming in the Mt. Sterling area in 1978 when he moved to Las Vegas.

Survivors include his parents of Bonaparte; one son, Arlen of San Diego, California; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Sheila) Daugherty of Birmingham, Mrs. Sherry Jones of Fort Madison, and Mrs. Susan Dahlgren of Franklin; a sister Arlene Cass of Montrose; two brothers Donald of Dumas, Texas and Dale of Fort Madison.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Dean.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the DeYoung Funeral Home in Keokuk.

Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Keokuk.
