THOMAS H. COMPTON
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 1983 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington for Thomas H. Compton, 57, of Farmington, who died at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, May 28 in the Fort Madison Community Hospital.
The Rev. Kenneth Harden officiated. Burial was in Sharon Cemetery.
Mr. Compton was born December 16, 1915, in Newman, Illinois. He was a farmer and a member of the Sharon United Presbyterian Church. An Air Force veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Sargeant Osweiler American Legion Post in Bonaparte.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. William (Florence) Muntz of Farmington and Mrs. Mildred Daugherty of Fort Madison, a nephew and two nieces.
His parents were Ralph and Carrie Moore Compton.
A memorial has been established. Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.
