GERTRUDE LILLIAN SNIDER

Gertrude Lillian Snider, 83, of Alvarado, Texas, formerly of Farmington, died April 25, 1983 at Fort Worth, Texas.

Born March 9, 1900 at Birch Tree, Missouri, she was the daughter of Samuel Henry and Alice Branhan Hubbs.

On November 8, 1919 she was united in marriage to Charles Arthur Snider at Van Buren, Missouri. He preceded her in death, December 7, 1965.

A long-time Ottawa, Kansas resident, Mrs. Snider moved to Farmington in 1975. For the past three months, until the time of her death, she made her home in Alvarado, Texas.

Mrs. Snider was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mildred Horton of Beaumont, California; two sons, Edward Snider of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Earl Snider of Omaha, Nebraska; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three daughters, including Louise Gee, two brothers and a sister.

The funeral was held Thursday, April 28, at 2 p.m. in the Dengel & Sons Mortuary at Ottawa, Kansas. The Rev. William Weber, Calvary Baptist Church, Ottawa, Kansas officiated. Interment was in the Osawatomie Cemetery at Osawatomie, Kansas.
