Bernease Burkey

Former Van Buren County resident Bernease Burkey, 66, died in Yreka, Calif., on May 20, 1983. She married Dick Rodibaugh in 1934. He died in 1977.

She married Leo Burkey in April 1982. She is survived by her husband, one son, Larry, of Grand Junction, Colo.; two granddaughters and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother, Maude O'Brien; three sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister.

She and her later husband, Dick, lived several years in Van Buren County.

The funeral was held in Yreka on May 24, 1983.
