LLOYD EARL THORNBURG
Lloyd Earl Thornburg, 90, Bonaparte, formerly of Lowell, died Tuesday, March 22, 1983 in Klein Hospital, Burlington.
He was born July 10, 1892, at Pilot Grove to Abner and Dorale Watton Thornburg. He married Anna Berry December 21, 1916, at New London; she died July 14, 1980.
He was a retired farmer.
Surviving: seven sons, LaVerne, Danville, Myron, Keosauqua, Thomas, Oakville, Dale and Edward, both of Bonaparte, Harold, Farmington, and Duane, Burlington; bother, Charles, New London; two sisters, Mildred Fry, Weiser, Idaho, and Laura Pickle, New London; 35 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held a 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Elliott Chapel in New London with the Rev. Robert Dodds officiating. Burial was in Burge Cemetery. A memorial to the Lowell Street Light Fund has been established.
