ROBERT H. COLLINS

Robert H. Collins, of Farmington, died Friday, March 11, 1983, at 9:20 at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

Born July 4, 1911 at Exline, Iowa, he was the son of George W. and Elia Jane Alfrey Collins.

He married Eileen Jenkins February 22, 1947 at McKay, North Queensland, Australia.

He was the former owner of Collins Construction Company. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington; the American Legion Richardson-Anthony Post, Farmington. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife Eileen; one son, Dennis of Los Fresnos, Texas; two daughters, Mary Woolverton of South Padre, Texas and Kathy Dodds of Lincoln, Nebraska; eight grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, one granddaughter, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 14, at 10 a.m. in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Farmington. Burial was at Greenglade cemetery. Father Ron Young officiated. The Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington was in charge of arrangements. Memorials were established for the church building fund.
