Harold Morris

Former Stockport resident Harold I. Morris, 69, died the morning of Feb. 13 in Americana Health Care Center in Cedar Rapids after an extended illness.

He was born March 22, 1913, at Stockport to Todd and Ella Brown Morris. He married Edna Van Patton. He was a retired construction worker and motion picture projectionist.

Survivors: his wife; sons Glenn of Shellsburg and Melvin of West Liberty; seven grandchildren; brothers Max of Keosauqua and Herschel of Palatka, Fla.; and sisters Verna Dodds and Esther Keller of Fairfield, Buena Hendricks of Buffalo, Mo., and Maxine of Urbana, Mo.

Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Taylor Church northeast of Stockport, the Rev. David R. Kennedy officiating. Burial was at Spencer Cemetery.

Memorials were given to Stockport Library.
