Ollie Mathews

Ollie G. Mathews, 85, died at 7:30 p.m. March 25, 1983, in Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.

He was born Sept. 2, 1897, at Downing, Mo., to Erastus and Sadie Sarah Simmons Mathews. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Bloomfield and Milton for several years. He married Ola McVey April 16, 1928, at Lancaster, Mo.; she died Sept. 10, 1982.

Surviving are: a daughter, Marie Hubbartt of Bloomfield; sons Junior Glen and Raymond of Bloomfield; and sisters Hazel Foster of Memphis, Mo., and Belle Lasley of Monteville, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at Wagler-Funeral Home at Bloomfield, the Rev. Marvin Martin officiating. Burial was at IOOF Cemetery at Bloomfield.

A memorial was established to the heart fund or Dunnville Baptist Church.
