MRS. NINA G. FRANKLIN

Mrs. Nina G. Franklin, 83, Fort Madison, died at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 1983, at the Donnellson Manor Care Center. She had been in failing health for 11 months and seriously ill the past month.

Mrs. Franklin was born January 20, 1900 in Clark County, Missouri. She had been a resident of Fort Madison for 25 years. She was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the Fort Madison Senior Citizens.

On September 15, 1918, at Des Moines, she was married to Kenneth B. Franklin, who survives.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Leon of Newton, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Keith (Faye) Beelman of fort Madison; and three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three nephews, and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Her parents were Charles Thomas and Armida Mayfield Martin.

Funeral services were held March 11 at 1 p.m. at Barr Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Myron Brockmeyer officiating. Burial was in Soldiers' Circle of Oakland Cemetery.
