LEONARD A. LOVEDY

Leonard A. Lovedy, age 62, passed away Monday, March 14, 1983 at his home Birmingham.

He was born June 26, 1920 in Van Buren County, the son of John and Katie Collett Lovedy. He was married to Margaret Anderson on March 25, 1939 at Kahoka, Missouri. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Larry of Douds; two grandchildren; a brother, Robert Lovedy of Fort Madison; two half-brothers Roy Black of Birmingham and Raymond Collett of Williamsburg; two half-sisters, Mildred Ramsey of Birmingha and Alice Hootman of Vinton, Iowa.

Mr. Lovedy was a veteran of World War II, a member of Haney-Brannon Legion Post #181 of Birmingham, and a 41 year employee of Fairfield Glove Co., having just retired.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 16, 1983 at the Birmingham United Methodist Church with Rev. David R. Kennedy officiating. Interment with military rites was in Maple Hill Cemetery.

A memorial was established for either the Birmingham Lions or the Heart Fund.

Burch Funeral Home of Birmingham was in charge of arrangements.
