DOROTHY H. McINTOSH

Dorothy Helen McIntosh, daughter of William and Dora Smith McIntosh, was born February 1, 1904, near Keosauqua in the area which is ow Lacey-Keosauqua State Park, and departed this life Tuesday, March (1), 1983, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua at the age of 79. She had suffered a stroke on February 11.

She attended school in Keosauqua and spent most of her life in the community. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, brothers Archie and Wyatt "Buzz," a sister Ida Boyd and two brothers and a sister who died in infancy.

Surviving are one daughter, Dorothy Pearl Regur Zeiler, and her husband Harold of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Alan, Diane and Dan Zeiler. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Lenora McIntosh of Keosauqua, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 4, 1983, at 10 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Rev. Bob Patterson of the Keosauqua Christian Church officiating. Interment was in Center Chapel Cemetery south of Keosauqua. A memorial was established for the Keosauqua Senior Citizens Center.
