Vergil M. Archer
Vergil M. Archer, daughter of William and Myrtle Kelly Robbins, was born Oct. 30, 1912, near Bonaparte and died Thursday, Feb. 10, 1983 at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield at the age of 70. Her home was in Milton.
She married Morris Cole, who is deceased.
On Feb. 14, 1953, she married O.D. "Pete" Archer. He remains. Also surviving are three sons, Leonard Cole of Douds, Jimmy Cole of Keosauqua, and Ronald Cole of Elma, Washington, and two daughters, Kathryn Robinson of Elk City, Oklahoma and Dorothy Owlett of Elma, Washington. She also leaves three stepdaughters, Shirley Schumaker, Bloomfield, Patricia Foster, Polk City, and Wanda Walker, Bloomfield, a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and step grandchildren, a brother, Dan Robbins of Keosauqua, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 14, 1983 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Rev. Louise Knupp officiating. Interment was in Bonaparte Cemetery.
