Ruth V. Wollam
Cantril native Ruth V. Wollam, 59, of 525 23rd. Street, Bettendorf, Iowa, died in Moline, Ill. Public Hospital at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 1983.
She was born Aug. 9, 1923, to Riley and Mabel Carnahan Wollam.
A Cantril High School graduate, she moved to the Quad Cities in 1942, working at the Bettendorf plant of J.I. Case Co. for 27 years and retiring in 1981.
Surviving are four sisters, Shirley Janeba, Torrence, Calif., Helen Andrews and Lois Polito, both of Rock Island, Ill., and Annadeen Perkins, Farmington.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 12, 1983 at 11 a.m. at Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, the Rev. James Rozendaal officiating. Interment was in Greenglade Cemetery at Farmington.
A memorial to Greenglade Cemetery Association has been established.
