Pauline Evans

Florence Pauline Evans, 71, of Keokuk, died Sunday morning, Jan. 23, 1983 at the Keokuk Area Hospital after an illness of three years. She was the sister of Clyde Miers of Milton.

She was born July 4, 1910, in Nodaway, Iowa, the daughter of Melvin and Ota Giskill Miers. She married John W. Evans Dec. 31, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. She was of the Protestant faith.

Suviving are her husband, three sons, Dick Casaday, Keokuk; Sam Casaday, Wayzata, Minn. and James Evans, West Burlington; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Valora Cook, Keokuk; and brother, Clyde Miers, Milton.

The funeral was Tuesday, Jan. 25, 1983 at 1 p.m. at DeJong Funeral Home, Keokuk. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton.
