Freda C. Nichols

Freda C. Nichols, daughter of Bertram and Emma Smith Warren, was born Nov. 9, 1902 at Cantril and departed this life Sunday, Jan. 16, 1983 at her home in viola, Wisc. at the age of 80.

She had lived in California many years until moving to Wisconsin in October, 1982.

Remaining are two sons, Lester Wells of Cantril, and Richard Nichols, Glendale, Ariz., two daughters, Portia Scholville of Viola, Wisc., and Betty Whitcanack, Arcadia, Calif. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter, a sister, Pahline Hollin of Bettendorf, other relatives and friends.

Her husband, Almond A. Nichols, two sisters, Theresa Wellborn and Catherine Phillips and a brother, Lloyd Warren, preceded her in death.

The body will arrive late Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua. The service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Louise Knupp officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at Cantril.
