Sarah D. Miner

Mrs. Sarah D. Miner, 95, Stockport, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 1983, at Maplewood Manor Nursing Home at Keota, where she had lived for six years.

She was born May 29, 1887, at Big Stone Gap, Va., to Monroe and Drusilla Harris Wells. She married Lloyd Miner Aug. 10, 1909, at Kylesford, Tenn.; he died Nov. 22, 1971.

A resident of Stockport for more than 63 years, she was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Harry, Talahassee, Fla., and Lawrence, Stockport; two daughters, Flora Wheatley, Largo, Fla., and Elnora McDowell, Keota; two brothers, Robert Wells, Garvais, Ore., and Jerry Wells, of Stockport; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 21, 1983 at the Stockport United Methodist Church, Rev. David Kennedy and Rev. Eugene Blake. Burial was at Spencer Cemetery. A memorial was established at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.
