WINNETKA G. WATTS

Funeral services for Mrs. Winnetka G. Watts, 84, Fairfield, who died Friday, December 3, 1892, at Jefferson County Hospital were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, at the Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield, with Rev. Carl B. Riggs officiating. Burial was in Bonaparte Cemetery.

She was deputy auditor for Van Buren County for five years and deputy auditor of Jefferson County for 10 years.

She was born August 27, 1898, at Boone, to Gus and Alma Johnson Hansen. She married Leslie Watts, November 7, 1923, at Bonaparte.

Reared in Boone, she attended Fairfield public schools and Parsons College. She was a 50-year member of First United Presbyterian Church, where a memorial has been established, and of PEO Chapter C and White Shrine.

Surviving are her husband; son Carl A., Brighton, Michigan; daughter, Mary J. Knafla, Sauk Rapids, Minnesota; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Ferren, Evanston, Illinois.
