THELMA D. ROBINSON

Thelma Dell Robinson, daughter of James and Carrie Prall Shipley, was born March 22, 1897 in Van Buren County, Iowa and departed this life Tuesday, October 5, 1982, at Hostel House Nursing Home in Edina, Missouri at the age of 85.

On November 28, 1916, she married J.B. Robinson at Pelican, Minnesota who preceded her in death in 1971. A daughter, Iona Lathrop, three sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Ward and his wife Edna Mae of rural Cantril in Scotland County, Missouri and Douglas and his wife Edna Mae of Arbela, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Shipley in Minnesota.

Most of Mrs. Robinson's life was spent in the Cantril community in Van Buren County Iowa and Scotland County, Missouri. She was a member of the Cantril United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 8, 1982, in the Cantril United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Butler officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery at Cantril. Pedrick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A memorial of arrangements. A memorial was established for her church.
