Edith Roberts

Edith H. Roberts, 78, of 611 Queen Ann died at 10:22 a.m. Dec. 10, 1982 in Ottumwa Hospital.

She was born Oct. 6, 1904, at Milton to Edwin and Eva Bell Hargrove. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a former employee of Younkers. She married O.T. Roberts on May 29, 1927, at Milton. He has passed away.

Survivors: sons David of Roanoke, Texas, and James of Broken Arrow, Okla., and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, Dec. 11, 1982 at Robbertson-Jay Funeral Home, with Rev. Wilbert Trusheim of Willard Street Methodist Church officiating.

The body has been cremated.

A memorial was established to her church.
