DOROTHY M. BROWN

Funeral services were held Monday, June 21st, at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington for Mrs. Dorothy M. Brown, 79, of Farmington, who died at 1:40 p.m. Friday, June 18, 1982, at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

The Rev. Robert Hambright officiated. Burial was in Sharon cemetery.

Mrs. Brown was born October 13, 1902, in Farmington. She moved to Farmington from Mt. Sterling in 1967. She was a former school teacher and postal clerk at Mt. Sterling. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Farmington.

On May 31, 1924, in Mt. Pleasant, she was married to Enos Brown, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Edward, and a daughter, Verla Cahill, both of Farmington; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and a great-grandchild.

A memorial was established with the EMT unit of the Farmington Fire Department.
