ELLSWORTH E. SHAW

Ellsworth E. Shaw, 79, of Farmington, died Wednesday, March 24, at 3:55 p.m. at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

He was born April 26, 1902 at Bentonsport, the son of William and Abbie Buttes Shaw.

A 40-year resident of Farmington, he was a former employee at White's Hatchery there.

On April 17, 1943 at Kahoka, Missouri, he married Ruby May Boyd who preceded him in death on April, 1981.

Surviving are a son, Gary, of Kahoka; a step-son, Donald Gray of Farmington; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Verla) Zeh of Fort Madison; a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Lena) Hamberg of Farmington; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 27, at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. Pastor Gary Worsham officiated. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery.
