OBITUARY
DALE MORROW

Dale Morrow, son of Oscar and Lena Bott Morrow, was born January 2, 1908 at Douds and departed this life early Sunday, February 14, 1982, at University Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 74. He lived his entire life in Douds. On June 12, 1938, he married Margaret Daniels in Ottumwa.

Surviving: his wife; a daughter, Diana Hootman of Douds; a son, Paul of Burlington; four grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Florence Jones of Ottumwa, Crete Wiley of Douds and Dorothy Randell of Keosauqua.

Dale had operated a general store and for many years a frozen food locker plant in Douds as well as farming. He was presently serving as a Village Township Trustee and as a member of teh Zion Lutheran Cemetery Board. He was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church; a 50-year Mason in Celestial Lodge No. 413; a member of the Douds Community Club and Douds Field Day Association; and a former volunteer fireman and school board member.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 16, 1982 at Christ United Methodist Church in Douds, with Dr. Chris Daniel, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds. Memorials were established for the church and the Cancer Fund. Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, was in charge of arrangements.
