WILLIAM H. CARSON

William H. Carson, son of William A. and Cassie Heriford Carson, was born July 25, 1912 at Douds and departed this life Sunday, February 28, 1982 in Marion County Hospital, Yellville, Arkansas at the age of 69.

He grew up in Douds and on November 15, 1932 married Edna Plowman, who survives. Also surviving are a brother, George of Hot Springs, South Dakota. His parents and a son, David, preceded him in death.

Bill and Edna lived many years in Davenport, where he was a machinist, before retiring to Arkansas. He was a Methodist and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 4, 1982, at 1:30 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, Rev. Harold Harryman officiating, with interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds.
