ROGER I. KREHBIEL

Roger Erwin Krehbiel, 60, of Donnellson, died Saturday, Aug. 22, at 9:28 p.m. in Keokuk Area East Hospital.

Born Nov.21, 1921 at Donnellson, he was the son of Ernest A. and Clara Lowenberg Krehbiel.

A retired farmer, he had been assistant rural mail carrier. He was a member of the Zion Mennonite Church, Donnellson and the Gillaspey-Moodie American Legion Post, Donnellson. He was a W.W. II Army veteran.

Surviving are his mother, Clara Krehbiel of Donnellson, two brothers, Edward Ernest Krehbiel of Bluffton, Ohio and Wayne Edward Krehbiel of Keokuk; and a sister Mrs. Dean (Ruth Esther) Slater of Crawfordsville, Ia.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother.

The funeral was held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Zion Mennonite Church with the Rev. Kenneth Harden officiating. Burial was in the Zion Mennonite Cemetery, Donnellson. The Hofbauer Funeral Home, Donnellson was in charge of arrangements. Memorial to the Mennonite Cemetery may be left the funeral home or at the Cardiac Care Unit at Keokuk Hospital.
