GEORGE W. BLEW

Services for George W. Blew, 74, of Perry were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 at the Murdock-Timeon Funeral Home in Perry.

Blew died March 16 at Dallas County Hospital.

A memorial has been established for the physical therapy department at Dallas County Hospital. Contributions may be left at the funeral home.

Burial was in Valley View Cemetery near Perry.

Blew was born February 22, 1907 in Nebraska the son of Henry and Ladora (Menefee) Blew.

He married Beulah Wilcox in Ottumwa August 6, 1933.

A veteran of World War II, Blew was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He also was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was employed at the Workman-Timeon Funeral Home.

Blew ran a cream station in Douds some 20 years ago.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Mrs. Georgia Christman of Bagley; brother Harry of Chicago; sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Knapp of Perry and Mrs. Elva Hanby of Spirit Lake; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
