VINTON D. HOAGLIN

Vinton D. Hoaglin, son of J. Clyde and Beulah Douglas Hoaglin, was born December 14, 1013 in Hillsboro and departed this life Friday January 23, 1981, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua at the age of 67.

He graduated from Hillsboro High School and Fort Madison Business College and spent his life farming in the Hillsboro community. He was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist church.

On October 8, 1939 he married Irene Oltman at Manly, Iowa. She remains to cherish is memory with their daughter Joanna Reno and her husband Stephen of Bentonsport and two grandchildren, Shannon and Erik Reno. Also surviving are his father, Clyde Hoaglin, of Hillsboro, two brothers, Clifford of Mt. Pleasant and Donald Dean of Hillsboro, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 26, 1981, at 1:30 p.m. at the Hillsboro Baptist Church with Rev. Leo Scheffel officiating. Mrs. Forrest Fuhrer was the organist. Pallbearers were John Carter, Phil Hixson, Forrest Fuhrer, Arthur Page, Leslie Hoaglin, and George Askew.

Interment was in Hillsboro Cemetery. Memorials established for this church and the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
