DONALD H. DOWD

Donald H. Dowd, age 69, of Libertyville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 13, 1981 at the Jefferson County Hospital.

He was born November 6, 1911 at Corydon, Iowa, the son of Robert and Floy Hufford Dowd. He was formerly married to Inez Smith.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Harness of Birmingham, and two sons, Richard Down of Mt. Pleasant and Robert Dowd of Birmingham, seven grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Fern Stamp of Garwin and a brother, Robert Doud of Mashalltown(err), Iowa. He was preceded in death by a sister.

Mr. Down was a Michigan-Wisconsin Pipe Line employee for 28 years before retiring. He was also a member of the Fairfield Eagles Lodge.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1981 at the Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham with Rev. David R. ennedy officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemtery.

A memorial to the Cancer Society was established and may be left at the Funeral Home.
