Obituary
FRED WORKFred Work, age 86, of 909 Fairview, Fairfield, Iowa passed away, Friday, April 3, 1981 at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been a patient five days.
He was born May 9, 1894 in Jefferson County, the son of James and Mary Work. He was married on September 28, 1916 at Fairfield to Kathryn Jameson, who preceded him in death on September 16, 1977.
He is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Work was a retired Jefferson County farmer, having lived on the same farm for 56 years before retiring and moving to Fairfield.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 7, 1981 at the Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham with the Rev. David R. Kennedy officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery.
