TERRY V. WELLS

Terry V. Wells, son of Gene and Bonnie McFarland Wells, was born November 1, 1966, in Keokuk, and departed this life Friday, May 15, 1981, at University Hospital in Iowa City, at the age of 14. He moved with his family to Keosauqua in 1977.

Terry was a freshman student at Van Buren Community School in Keosauqua, where he played football, golf, baseball and basketball, and was a member of the Volume II Swing Choir and the Spanish Club.

He attended the Keosauqua Christian Church and its youth group, and was a member of Hawkeye Hustlers 4-H Club.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his parents; a sister, Jan. at home; grandparents Mrs. Mary Wells of Hamilton, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Akers of Warsaw, Ill., other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 18, 1981, at 10:00 a.m. in the Van Buren Community High School gymnasium, with Rev. Paul Knupp and Rev. Bill Bensheimer officiating. Music was furnished by the Volume II Swing Choir under the direction of Mrs. Linda Mitchelltree. Mrs. Shan Williams was the pianist. Pallbearers were Eric Breckenridge, Tommy Wiley, Kerry Gaston, Jon Schuck, Chris Peacock, and Matt Zeitler. Interment was in Fellows Cemetery at Keosauqua. A memorial was established for the Van Buren Community School Athletic Department. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral home, Keosauqua.
