CORA ETHEL WATKINS

Cora Ethel Watkins, 92, Donnellson, died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 1981 at the Burlington Medical Center.

She was born June 28, 1889, at Farmington. She was a resident of Donnellson rural for 50 years. For the past two years she resided at the Donnellson Manor Care Center.

On Nov. 18, 1908, at Farmington she was married to Fred K. Watkins, who preceded her in death in 1955.

She was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian church and the United Presbyterian Women.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne W. of Ft. Madison and Wendell W. of Farmington; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Hogue of Iowa Falls and Mrs. Gladys Wilkerson and Encinada, Calif.; and 17 grand children and 31 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a great grandson, two brothers and two sisters. Her parents were Daniel and Mary Kincaid Kelly.

Funeral Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Sharon Presbyterian church, near Farmington. The Rev. Kenneth Harden officiated. Burial was in Sharon cemetery.

Family met with friends from 7 to 8 Friday evening at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson.

A memorial was established with the Sharon Presbyterian Sunday School departement.

Casket bearers were Stanley Watkins, Clarence Robertson, Darrel Cecil, Allen Hogue, Donald Kelly.
