ARCHIE DALE STILL

Archie Dale Still, 66, of Bonaparte died Sunday, March 29, 1981 at 9:58 p.m. enroute to Iowa City in air ambulance after suffering a heart attack earlier.

He was born Feb. 12, 1915 at Hillsboro the son of Perry and Pearl Savage Still.

He married Mildred House on Aug. 20, 1945 at Fort Madison and she survives.

He was farmer and lived on the same farm near Bonaparte for 34 years and was a former employee of the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant Burlington.

He was a member of the Bonaparte United Methodist church, Sargeant-Osweiler American Legion post, Bonaparte, and the Farmington Rod and Gun club. He was a W.W. II Army veteran.

In addition to his widow, he is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Melinda Morris of Bonaparte, two sisters, Mrs. Walter Opal Corsbie of Ft. Madison, Veda O'Neil of Cedar Falls; and three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jimmy Dale Still in Vietnam, and one brother.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Bonaparte Presbyterian church. The Rev. James Rozendaal and Rev. Kenneth Harden officiated. Burial was in Thompson cemetery, Bonaparte. A memorial was established for the heart fund. The Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, was in charge of the arrangements.
