LILLIE SCHOENE

Lillie Schoene, 83, of 506 8th St., Ft. Madison, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1981 at 12:10 p.m. in the Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Born May 17, 1898 at Davenport, she was the daughter of William and Matilda Hirt Schreiner.

She married Ray Schoene on Feb. 11, 1920 at Fort Madison. They lived on a farm on West Point rural route for 53 years.

She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ at Franklin and the Women's Fellowship of the church.

Surviving are three sons, Leonard of Ft. Madison, Ivan of West Point, Robert of Burlington: four daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Maxine) Smith of West Point, Mrs. Floyd (Darlene) Kinyoun of Ft. Madison, Mrs. Richard (Elaine) Wehrle and Mrs. Eleanor Timmerman, both of Davenport; one brother, George Schriener of Burlington; and two sisters - Mrs. Anna Knabe of Ft. Madison and Mrs. Kathryn of Donnellson; 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one brother and two sisters.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Hofbauer Funeral Home at Donnellson. Pastor Donald Stoll will officiate. Burial will be in the Evangelical Cemetery at Franklin. Memorials for the Franklin Cemetery Association may be left at the funeral home.
