ROBERT EARL WATTS

Robert Earl Watts, son of Robert and Carrie Hornbaker Watts, was born Dec. 10, 1900, near Hillsboro, and departed this life Sunday May 17, 1981, at Louisville, Kentucky.

As a youth he moved to Colorado and he had lived in Louisville since 1926. On September 7, 1922, he married Hazelle Jeanette Smith. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert Marshall Watts in Pennsylvania, a sister, Elsie Watts of Ft. Collins, Colorado, a niece, Ave Jean Downard of Keosauqua, a nephew, John Williamson of Denver, Colorado, other relatives and friends. A son, Billie Eugene Watts and a sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Watts was a construction engineer and designed the Jefferson Street viaduct in Ottumwa.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 20, 1981 at 11 a.m. in the Bonaparte Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
