ZOLA I. JOHNSON

Zola I. Johnson, 87, of Stockport passed away Monday, March 30, 1981, at the Parkview Care Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born February 15, 1894 northeast of Stockport, the daughter of Nathaniel and Eva Bunyon(err) Brown. Married to Fred W. Wille on June 19, 1918; he passed away in 1926. On February 16, 1935, she married Leo C. Johnson, who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Lola Webber and Mrs. Esta Rowe, both of Fairfield, Mrs. Alma Standby of Des Moines, and Mrs. Iris Chapuis of Tucson, Ariz.; four brother, Alva Brown of Dowlworth, Minn., Ira Brown and Otto Brown, both of Birmingham, and Asa Brown of Mahnomen, Minn.; several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Big Cedar Christian Church, Stockport American Legion Auxiliary and had taught school in Van Buren and Henry counties for 15 years.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, a sister and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 2, 1981 at the Stockport Christian Church with Rev. Richard Deware officiating. Interment was in Spencer Cemetery.

Memorials to the Stockport American Legion Auxiliary may be left at the Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham.
