SANDRA KLOPFENSTEIN

Sandra Klopfenstein, 41, died at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 1981 in a tractor accident 2 miles west of Trenton. Medical Examiner Dr. Warren Scott pronounced her dead at the scene.

The Iowa State Patrol said Mrs. Klopfenstein was driving the tractor on a Henry County gravel road near her farm when the tractor got to close to the edge of the road and went into a ditch. She was thrown off the tractor and it rolled on top of her.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 26, 1981 at 11 a.m. at the Stockport United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial in Spencer Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Stockport Methodist Church.

Mrs. Klopfenstein was born was born May 9, 1938 at Stockport, the daughter of Kester and Lois Webber Jones. On June 11, 1955 she married Carl Love at Fairfield. On April 24, 1960 she married Richard Klopfenstein at his farm home near Trenton.

Surviving are her husband; her parents of Stockport, one son, Alan Love of Fairfield, two daughters, Terri Prevett of Salem, Trace Love, at home; three stepchildren, James, Steven and Barbara Klopfenstein, all of Mt. Pleasant; one granddaughter and two stepgrand-daughter.
