CORA MERLE KINCAID

Mrs. Cora Merle Kincaid, 78, Fort Madison, died at 11:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 1981 at the Burlington Medical Center. She had been in failing health one week, but death was unexpected.

Mrs. Kincaid was born Jan. 1, 1903, at Charlestown, Iowa. She had lived in Fort Madison since 1949. She was a member of the Santa Fe United Methodist church and the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees.

On Jan. 4, 1923, at Keokuk, she was married to Denver Lee Kincaid on July 26, 1972.

Surviving are three sons, Donald L. Kincaid and LeRoy Kincaid, both of Fort Madison, and Edward W. Kincaid, Barstow, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Charles (Velva) Stout, Mrs. Salvatore (Doris) Fasanelli, and Mrs. LeRoy (Ethel) Nolte, all of Fort Madison, Mrs. Elvin (Eleanor) Simmons, Farmington, and Mrs. A.J. (Susie) West of Los Angeles, Calif.; 25 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, two sisters and three grandchildren. Her parents were Rufus and Susie Allan Junkins.

The body was at the Barr Memorial Chapel where final rites were at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Myron Brockmeyer officiated. Burial was in the Oakland cemetrey.

A memorial was established with the Santa Fe United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
