GOLDIE ENKE

Goldie Enke, daughter of Elbert and Lennie Bell Denny Lee, was born April 16, 1906, in California and departed this life Monday, June 22, 1981, at Keokuk Area West Hospital in Keokuk at the age of 75.

On December 26, 1936 she married Walter Enke of Burlington. On October 23, 1958 Mr. Enke was fatally stricken with a stroke on the streets of Burlington. After her husband's death, Mrs. Enke moved to Davenport. She was a buyer of ladies garments in department stores in both Burlington and Davenport.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and had resided the past several years at Donnellson.

Remaining to cherish her memory are two brothers, Ivan Lee of Farmington and Orville Lee of Keosauqua, a step-daughter, Norma Grau and her husband of Greenville, Mississippi, three step grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gladys Weller.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 25, 1981 at 3 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery at Morning Sun, Iowa. Visitation was Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
