MILDRED C. FAULKNER

Mildred C. Faulkner, daughter of Joseph and Nellie Nelson Larson, was born December 20, 1908 in Ottumwa, and departed this life Thursday, October 1, 1981 in the Ottumwa Hospital at the age of 72.

She graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1926 and married Fred W. Faulkner May 16, 1928 in Ottumwa.

They operated the Goodie Garden Cafe and an ice cream manufacturing business in Keosauqua. Mr. Faulkner preceded her in death in 1977.

Remaining to cherish her memory are two sisters, Eleanor Orman of Ottumwa and Esther Faulkner of Keosauqua. Also surviving are two nieces, Sherol Erickson of McIntire, Iowa and Judi Mitchell of Montrose, Colo., two great nieces, Ann Marie and Amy Sue Erickson, a great nephew, Derek Blake Mitchell, other relatives and many friends.

"Mid" was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ottumwa.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 3, 1981 at 2 P.M. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Rev. Ralph Andersen, pastor of her church officiating. Interment was in Fellows Cemetery.
