FOREST C. BROWN

Services for Forest C. Brown, 63, of Ankeny, who died Thursday, December 10, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital, of cancer, were Saturday, December 12th at the Ankeny Funeral Home. Burial was at Ankeny's Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Brown was born in rural Stockport, graduated from Stockport High School and served in the armed forces for several years. He lived in Shelby County 10 years before moving to Ankeny in 1956. He was a meat inspector for the State Agriculture Department. He was a member of the Logic Masonic Lodge 636 and Union Park Christian Church. He was a past commander and a life member of VFW 9123.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille, a son John and two grandsons of Ankeny; five sisters, Florence Keller, Fairfield, Marie Kisling of Keosauqua, Vera Knowles, Irene Tomkins, Edan Briden, all of Stockport; three brothers, Dr. Lester Brown of Hastings, Nebraska, La Verne of Stockport and Dale Brown of Hillsboro.
