Donna Jeanne Miller Wenke, 86, of rural Bonaparte, Iowa, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at her home.

Born July 28, 1927 in Latty, Iowa the daughter of Walter and Mabel (Lemke) Miller. On March 2, 1946, she married Bernard John Wenke in Fort Madison, Iowa. He preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bernard, two sisters and four brothers.

Donna was a member of the Bonaparte Women's Legion Auxiliary, the Croton Ladies Aide, the Croton Community Club and the Croton Bunco Team. She worked for Sheaffer Pen, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Riverside Plastics and Fairfield Glove Factory. She was a volunteer at the Farmington food pantry, a camp cook for the Annual Fort Madison Trail Ride and a 4-H Leader. Donna's car didn't pass many garage sales as she loved finding a good bargain. She also enjoyed attending craft shows, sewing and she especially loved to travel. Donna had the distinction of being the first customer at the Dutchman's Store in Cantril. Heaven now has a new angel and she will be missed!
