RUBY I. ZEITLER

Ruby I Zeitler, daughter of Owen W. and Nora Downing Buckles, was born February 19, 1898 in Chequest Township, Van Buren County and departed this life Saturday afternoon at her rural home near Douds.

She was graduated from the Troy High School and on July 5, 1919, she married Asa Zeitler in Fairfield, Iowa. They farmed their married life in Van Buren County. Ruby was a long time member of the Bethel Free Methodist Church and was the Church pianist for many years.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Asa, two sons; Donald of Douds, and Charles of Dallas, Texas, five grandchildren, several great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Vonda and two brothers.

Ruby will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and for her strong faith and work in her church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 16, 1982 at 2 P.M. at Bethel Free Methodist Church near Doud with the Revs J. Wesley Wilson and Morton Stephens Jr., officiating.

Arrangements were in charge of the Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, Iowa. Interment was in Troy Cemetery, Troy, Kowa(Iowa).
