CRAIG WILSON

Craig "Jiggs" Wilson, 93, of Milton died at 5:13 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 1996, at Bloomfield Care Center.

He was born August 15, 1902 near Milton to James P. and Ellen Weatherington Wilson. He married Ruth Moore June 6, 1931 at Carthage, IL.

He farmed in the Lebanon-Milton area and retired to Milton in 1985. He had served on the Van Buren County Board of Supervisors, Jackson Township Board of Trustees and Election Board, Van Buren County Farmers Home Administration Board, and was active in the Republican Party.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Milton, and a 50 year Mason in Celestial Lodge No. 413, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Douds.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Jimmy and his wife, Nola of Milton, a daughter, Jocelyn Holland and her husband, John W., of Orange Park, Fl., eight grandchildren, David, Deanna and Brian Wilson, Julie Snyder, Jack and Matthew Holland, Carol Mank and Amy Billard, thirteen great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Bingaman.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 1996 in Grace United Methodist Church, Milton, Rev. Robert Griffin officiating. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery.

Memorials to his church may be left at the funeral home.
