Margie M. Miers

Margie M. Miers, 65, of Milton died Sunday, May 11, 1986 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, Iowa.

She was born May 15, 1920, in Missouri to Robert Lancaster and Kathryn Schultz. She married Clyde Miers on July 3, 1937, in Farmington. She was a bookkeeper for the Denniston Partridge Lumber Company in Milton for 15 years.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Betyy J. Ringold, and Pat Detrick, both of Burlington; six grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Lucas of Macon, Mo., and Karen Waibell of Memphis, Mo.; and two brothers, Jack and Jody Lancaster, both of Memphis, Mo.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 13, 1986 at the Milton Christian Church, the Rev. Ed Pool officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
