ESTELINE LUNSFORD

Estelene Lunsford, 80, of Milton died at 10 a.m. Sept. 30, 1995, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

She was born Nov. 21, 1914, in Davis County to Franklin and Hulda Warning Stookesberry. She married Roy Lunsford March 1, 1936, in Lacaster, Missouri. He preceded her in death.

She attended Beulah School and had worked as a nurse's aide at Van Buren County Hospital and Northwest Hospital in Des Moines. She was also a private nurse in West Des Moines. She served on the Milton Library Board and Neighborhood Nightwatch program in Milton. She attended Milton Christian Church.

She is (survrived) by a son, Keith Lunsford of Rudd, Iowa, two grandsons and three brothers, Harold Stookesberry of Longmont, Colo., Donald Stookesberry of Ottumwa and Richard Stookesberry of Stevensville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clark and Darrell Stookesberry and five sisters, Wanda Dabney, Agnes, Lora, Nora and Janette.

The service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 1995 at Priester Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield, the Rev. Quentin Johnson officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Memorials may be made to the Milton Library in Milton.
