Mrs. Elva Jane Lucas

Elva Jane McCoy Lucas, the daughter of E.E. and Isabella Osburn McCoy, was born Sept. 13, 1883 in Versailles, Ill. and died Nov. 28, 1969 at the Davis County Hospital at the age of 86.

She had lived in Davis County most of her life and was affiliated with the Bloomfield United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the Carr Chapter of OES in Milton.

She married Carey A. Lucas at Versailies, Ill. on Aug. 22, 1906.

Survivors include her widower; three daughters, Mrs. Esther Hubbartt of Bloomfield, Miss Wilma Lucas of Morrison, Ill. and Mrs. Berniece Soults of Ames; one brother, Homer McCoy of Brandenton, Fla.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 3o, 1969 at 2 p.m. at the Wagler Funeral Home by the Rev. M. Claire Shupe of the United Methodist Church. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery.
