JAMES A LUMAN

James A. Luman, son of George and Helen Colvin Luman, passed away at Bloomfield Manor, Bloomfield, Iowa on January 1, 1973, after an illness of long duration. His age at time of death was 90 years, 2 months and 25 days.

Jim was born October 6, 1882 at Hitt, Mo. On November 24, 1909, he was married to Lena Smith in the Milton Methodist parsonage.

Mr. Luma was an electrician by trade and worked for the electric company for many years as well as having his own shop. He was a member of the cemetery board for many years, a member of the Masons for over 50 years as well as being a member of the Eastern Star. He held his membership in Milton United Methodist Church until his death.

Those who preceded him in death were his parents, four sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his widow, Lena, along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends.

Funeral services were held in Milton United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 4, 1973 at 10 a.m., with Rev. Dale Church officiating under the direction of Wellborn Funeral Home of Milton. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton.
