Hampson Lowe

Hampson Reed Lowe, 90, route 1, Drakesville, died Dec. 17, 1991 at the Davis County Hospital.

He was born July 3, 1901, in Davis County to John Douglas and Sarah Agnes Humphrey Lowe. He married Lorene McCarty in 1925, she died in 1931. He married Chloe Proctor in 1946; she died in 1966. He married Opal Wilson Cles in 1970; she died in 1986.

He lived his entire life in Davis County and was a lifelong farmer in Marion Township in Davis County. He was a member of the Drakesville United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by a son, John Carlton of Tahlequah, Okla.; a daughter, Madalyn jean Boatman of Milton; six grandchildren; and seven great-gradchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and sisters and an infant daughter, Margaret Joan.

Graveside services were held Dec. 20, 1991 at the Drakesville Cemetery with the Rev. John D. Boatman and the Rev. Richard H. Boatman officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Drakesville United Methodist Church.

Wagler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
